Workplace AI

Your team’s AI assistant, connected to the tools you run on

We set up ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot to work safely with your accounts, inbox, files and customer messages, then train your team to use it. You get a fixed scope and figure before you commit.

Illustration: a staff member asks their AI assistant which invoices are overdue. The assistant reads them from Xero without changing anything, then drafts payment reminders that are only sent after the staff member confirms. A second example does the same with stock and a purchase order in Odoo.

Illustrative example. Names and figures are fictional.

Sound Familiar?

AI everywhere, connected to nothing

AI that can’t see your business

Your team already uses an AI assistant, but it can’t see your accounts, inbox or files. So people copy and paste data into it by hand.

Connectors nobody checked

Staff add connectors and plugins on their own, giving them access to company data that nobody has reviewed.

Unclear plans and data

Which plan fits, what each one does with your data, and who should have access are questions nobody has answered.

What We Connect

Your assistant, working inside your tools

We use the software vendor’s official connector where one exists, a vetted one where it doesn’t, and build our own when nothing fits.

Illustration: an AI assistant connected to Xero, Odoo, email, shared files and WhatsApp, each with read-only access. Looking up information goes straight through; a change, such as creating a purchase order in Odoo, waits for a person to confirm, and every action is logged.

Illustrative example. Your tools may differ.

Accounting and ERP

Your assistant reads invoices, orders, stock and reports, and drafts entries for a person to approve.

For example
  • Xero
  • Odoo: accounting, sales, inventory and CRM
  • Month-end summaries and aged receivables

Email, calendar and documents

Find the right file, summarise a thread, draft a reply, prepare a meeting brief.

For example
  • Google Workspace
  • Microsoft 365
  • Shared drives and folders

Customer messages

A WhatsApp helpline that answers common questions with your approved wording and hands the rest to your team.

For example
  • WhatsApp helpline
  • Case handover to your team
  • After-hours enquiries

Your other systems

CRM, other ERPs and internal tools. If no connector exists for a system you rely on, we build one.

For example
  • CRM and other ERP systems
  • Internal databases and portals
  • Custom connectors built by InitD

How It Works

From scattered AI use to a setup you trust

  1. Step 1: Review your tools

The tools you run on, and how your team uses AI today.

A clear picture of what to connect

  2. Step 2: Choose the plan

Which assistant and subscription fits, including what each plan does with your data.

    A plan you understand

  3. Step 3: Connect

Official connectors first, vetted ones second, our own when nothing exists.

An assistant that sees your business

  4. Step 4: Make it safe

Read-only by default, confirmation before changes, access per person.

Guardrails your IT team can check

  5. Step 5: Train and support

Your team learns to use it well. Keep us on for updates and new connections.

A team that uses it every day

Safe by Default

Connected does not mean uncontrolled

  • Read-only by defaultYour assistant can look things up. Changing anything is a separate decision.
  • You confirm every changeWhere it can change data, it shows a preview first and acts only when a person confirms.
  • Access per personEach person sees only what their role allows.
  • Vetted connectorsWe check who publishes a connector, what it can access and where your data goes before we install it.
  • A record of actionsChanges made through your assistant are logged where the connector supports it.
  • Sensitive work stays privateFor data that must not leave your control, the same setup can run on Private AI.

Any Assistant

We work with the assistant you already pay for

ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot. We recommend what works for you, including tools we don’t make.

Your subscription, your account

You keep your plan directly with the AI vendor. We set it up; we don’t resell it.

Open standard

Connections use MCP, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to business tools, so you aren’t locked in.

Our own tools, only where they fit

Where our OfficeDesk.ai platform is the best fit, we say so. Where it isn’t, we use something else.

Need something no ready-made tool can do? That’s Enterprise AI: we build it for you.

For your IT team

Technical detail

MCP connectors

Model Context Protocol servers connect the assistant to each system. Official vendor servers first; third-party servers only after review.

Connector review

Publisher, requested permissions, data flows, hosting and update path checked before installation.

Access control

Scoped credentials per connector, read-only by default, write actions behind a confirmation step.

Hosting

Connectors that need a server run in your own cloud account, or managed by InitD where you prefer.

Logging

Tool calls recorded where the connector supports it, so actions can be reviewed.

Custom connectors

For systems without one, InitD builds and maintains an MCP connector to the same standards.

FAQs

Questions, answered

What is Workplace AI?

A service in which InitD sets up the AI assistant your team already uses, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot, to work safely with your business tools: accounting, email, files, WhatsApp and other systems. We choose the right connectors, set the guardrails and train your team.

Which AI assistants do you work with?

ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot. We recommend the one that fits how your team works and the tools you run on, including tools we don't make.

Do we need to buy a new subscription through InitD?

No. You keep your plan directly with the AI vendor. We help you choose the right plan, including what each one does with your data, and set it up.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to business tools. Each connection is an MCP server that gives the assistant specific, limited access to one system.

Is our data safe?

We set assistants to read-only by default, require a person to confirm before anything changes, and give each person only the access their role needs. We review every connector before installing it. For data that must not leave your control, the same setup can run on Private AI.

Do you connect AI assistants to Odoo?

Yes. Odoo connects to Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants through MCP, covering accounting, sales, inventory and CRM. There are several third-party Odoo connectors of varying quality, so we review them first, or build and maintain one for you. Which route fits depends on how your Odoo is hosted and which plan you are on; we check that in the strategy session.

What if there is no connector for our system?

We build one. Custom connectors follow the same standards: limited access, confirmation before changes, and a record of actions.

How much does it cost?

You get a fixed figure for the setup after a free strategy session, before any commitment. Ongoing support is optional and monthly.
